The Trump Phone Is Late: What We Know So Far
October 2, 2025 -
3 minutes, 17 seconds
If you’ve been waiting for Trump Mobile’s first smartphone, here’s some disappointing news: the Trump phone is late. Originally promised for August or September 2025, the much-hyped Trump Mobile T1 has yet to arrive. Buyers who placed deposits are still empty-handed, and the launch date looks more uncertain than ever.
A Confusing Launch Timeline
When the T1 was first announced in June, Trump Mobile hyped it as a patriotic, gold-tinted budget smartphone with “American values.” Alongside the $47.45 monthly service plan, the company promised the hardware would launch soon.
But here’s where things got messy. The official press release claimed an August launch, while the Trump Mobile website listed September. Now, with both dates behind us, it’s clear that the release has slipped. The company has since updated its website to say the device will ship “later this year,” leaving customers in limbo.
Why The Trump Phone Is Late
The Trump Organization hasn’t offered an explanation for the delay, and it ignored requests for comment. But the writing was on the wall early. Just weeks after the announcement, the T1’s product page quietly dropped its September promise.
This lack of clarity is frustrating for anyone who paid the $100 hardware deposit. Without clear communication, Trump Mobile risks losing trust before the phone even launches.
Design And Specs Keep Changing
It’s not just the release date that’s shifting — the phone itself is evolving. Originally listed with a 6.78-inch display, the T1 is now said to have a smaller 6.25-inch screen. The quirky promise of a “5000mAh long life camera” has also been scrubbed from the spec sheet.
At this point, it’s unclear what the final device will actually look like or how it will perform. The only preview so far is a low-quality render that leaves more questions than answers.
What’s Next For Trump Mobile?
For now, all we know is that the Trump phone is late and may not appear until the end of 2025. Whether that’s enough time for Trump Mobile to iron out its design, fix its messaging, and deliver a working device remains to be seen.
Until then, buyers will have to wait — and hope that the T1 lives up to its bold promises.
