The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has dismissed claims by DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua that it has already awarded a tender for the supply of an election management system to a South Korean company. The electoral agency says the procurement process has not been concluded and is currently on hold pending a review. IEBC’s clarification comes amid growing scrutiny over the procurement of the technology expected to support the management of Kenya’s upcoming elections.
