Ghost Adds Social Web Syndication for Newsletters
Ghost has introduced a powerful update that lets publishers syndicate newsletters and blog posts directly to platforms like Bluesky, Threads, and Mastodon. With this integration, users can now expand their reach beyond email subscribers and website visitors, connecting with audiences across the growing social web.
Ghost 6.0 Enhances Social Sharing and Reader Experience
The Ghost 6.0 update brings free social web syndication powered by the ActivityPub protocol. This means that any Ghost publication can now be followed from social web clients, allowing posts to appear in feeds on decentralized platforms. Alongside publishing, Ghost has also launched a social web reader, enabling users to follow other publications and short-form posts from platforms like Bluesky and Threads in one place. This feature opens new opportunities for publishers to grow their audience without relying solely on traditional channels.
Built-In Analytics for Smarter Publishing Decisions
Another standout feature of Ghost 6.0 is its new native analytics suite. Publishers can now analyze engagement by audience type—public visitors, free members, and paid members—helping creators understand which content resonates most. With real-time insights, newsletter creators can optimize future posts, improve subscriber retention, and make data-driven publishing decisions more easily than ever before.
Pricing Changes for Ghost(Pro) Subscribers
Alongside these new features, Ghost has adjusted its Ghost(Pro) pricing. The starter plan now begins at $15 per month, up from $9, while the publisher plan starts at $29 per month, up from $25. Existing users on lower plans will keep their current rates, while new users gain access to Ghost’s enhanced syndication and analytics tools. Despite the price increase, the new features position Ghost as a more versatile platform for newsletter creators and independent publishers aiming to thrive on the social web.
