The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority is set to consult the public and stakeholders on the newly proposed energy tariffs.
In a Tweet on Wednesday, the regulator gave assurance that all comments will be considered and used to come up with a final determination on the Retail Tariff Application.
"We urge residents, manufacturers, companies, universities and all energy stakeholders to engage us as Kenya Power gives its presentation on the proposed harmonised tariff application," the organisation said.
Pursuant to section 11(c) of the Energy Act, 2019, Epra is mandated to set, review and adjust electric power tariffs and tariff structures.
Kenya Power on October 31, 2022, submitted the proposed application to the energy regulatory authority that will be applicable for the years 2022/23 to 2025/26.
The energy regulatory authority said it will embark on public and stakeholder consultations aimed at collecting views from the public following the Retail Tariff Application at the listed regions.
The stakeholder's consultation workshop will be held on January 31, for the South Rift economic block counties at the Waterbuck hotel in Nakuru CBD.
The North Rift economic block counties will hold their meeting on February 1 at the Eka hotel in Eldoret CBD.
The Western Nyanza economic block counties will hold their meeting on February 2 at Acacia premier hotel in Kisumu.
The frontier counties development council will hold their meeting at Nomad hotel on February 6, at Garissa CBD.
The Mt Kenya Abaderes economic block counties will hold their meeting at the KICC Ampitheater on February 8
While the Jumuiya za Kaunti za Pwani will have their meeting on February 10, at the Pride inn hotel in Mombasa.
