Environment Principal Secretary Dr. Festus Ng’eno narrowly escaped death after a Kenya Forest Service helicopter carrying him crashed shortly after take-off at Kericho Golf Club. The helicopter reportedly struggled to take off amid adverse weather conditions before crashing moments after lifting off. All four people on board survived and were rushed to South Rift Hospital for medical attention. Witnesses described a frightening ordeal, saying the engine sputtered before the aircraft plunged to the ground.
