Bandari travel to Bukhungu, wary of Bullets firepower
Bandari FC head coach Antony Kimani says his side will not underestimate Vihiga Bullets when the two teams face off on Sunday at the Bukhungu Stadium in an FKF Premier League tie.
Bandari travel to the western part of the country on the back of ending Tusker FC’s unbeaten run and Kimani says they will face their struggling opponents with the seriousness they deserve and not get carried away by their victory against Tusker.
“They are a very good team; they have gotten positive results from their previous fixtures; they have shown they can score goals and we have to be very careful while approaching the match on Sunday meaning we have to be very disciplined in every department to get the maximum points that we want,” said Kimani.
Victory on Sunday ended Bandari’s five games winless run and the former AFC Leopards coach says it was down to hard work and proper commitment by the players who stuck to the technical bench advice.
“It is down to hard work and commitment from the players, they gave their best from the first minute to the last and believed they have the quality to deliver good results and finally we got the maximum points,”added the former AFC Leopards coach.
Bandari are currently 11th in the league standing with eight points from seven games and the former Mathare United captain admits victory on Sunday eased pressure from the players and technical bench and is a morale booster heading into the next fixture.
“It is a big boost to the players’ morale, it has restored the confidence that had been dented especially after going for five matches without a win and I believe that will be seen in the next fixture,”the former Mathare United defender told
