India is currently seventh in the Asian Games 2026 medal table after adding another gold medal to its tally on Friday. The Indian women’s recurve archery team of Ankita Bhakat, Kirti Sharma and Kumkum Anil Mohod scripted history by defeating South Korea 5-3 in the final to win India’s first-ever gold in the event. Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain also secured gold in the women’s 75kg category after defeating China’s Ziyi Bao.The latest additions have taken India’s medal tally to 12 gold, 24 silver and 34 bronze medals, for an overall count of 70 medals.
