Previously limited to iPhones, this extended protection now provides iPad and Apple Watch users with peace of mind against accidental damage, loss, and theft. This means you can now file up to two claims for loss or theft per year in addition to unlimited accidental damage repairs. The update is ideal for users who rely on these devices daily, especially in public or travel-heavy settings.

This upgraded plan offers more than just traditional repair protection. With applecare+ with theft and loss, iPad and Apple Watch users get two theft or loss claims per year—plus unlimited accidental damage coverage. U.S. pricing starts at just $4.99/month or $49.99/year for the iPad and $2.99/month or $29.99/year for the Apple Watch. It’s a solid value for those wanting comprehensive protection without subscribing to AppleCare One.

How the Expansion Differs from AppleCare One

While AppleCare One bundles everything—including theft and loss—across all your devices, this expansion allows you to protect your iPad or Apple Watch individually. There’s no need to commit to the all-in-one plan if you just want specific coverage. This flexible approach allows more users to customize their AppleCare experience while still getting the benefits of advanced protection.

What Devices Still Aren’t Covered

Despite the good news, applecare+ with theft and loss isn’t yet available for Mac, AirPods, HomePod, Apple TV, or Apple Vision Pro. These devices remain limited to standard AppleCare+ repair coverage. Still, users enrolled in AppleCare One can apply theft and loss protection to any supported device under that plan.
