General Motors is bringing Apple Music directly to select 2025 and newer Cadillac and Chevrolet models, eliminating the need for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The Apple Music integration is available through an over-the-air update for the GM OnStar Basics package, included for eight years at no extra cost. Eligible vehicles include the 2025 and 2026 Cadillac CT5, 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, 2026 Cadillac Vistiq, and a range of Chevrolet EVs like the Equinox, Blazer, and Silverado. Cadillac is highlighting Apple Music’s support for spatial audio via Dolby Atmos, designed to deliver a premium in-car listening experience. The Cadillac Vistiq, for instance, comes equipped with a 23-speaker AKG system optimized for immersive sound.
