Earlier this year, Anker voluntarily recalled five of its portable power banks after reports of dangerous malfunctions. The USCPSC has now confirmed that four incidents resulted in minor burn injuries, while one caused significant property damage. The recall covers five external battery models widely sold online and in retail stores. These include:

• Anker Power Bank (models A1257, A1647)

• Anker MagGo Power Bank (model A1652)

• Anker Zolo Power Bank (models A1681, A1689)

The affected units were available between August 2023 and June 2025 through major outlets like Best Buy, Target, Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress, eBay, and even TikTok’s shopping platform.

Customers can find the model number printed on the back or side of their power bank. If it matches any of the recalled models, users are advised to stop using the device immediately and contact Anker for a free replacement or refund.
