The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is the professional organization for Certified Public Accountants in Kenya established in 1978 and draws its mandate from the Accountants Act No. 15 of 2008. Since then, ICPAK has been dedicated to development and regulation of the accountancy profession in Kenya so as to enhance its contribution and that of its members to national economic growth and development. In its endeavor on institutional strengthening, ICPAK is seeking to recruit dynamic, self-driven and results oriented individuals to fit in a team that will propel it to a World Class Professional Accountancy Institute.
The Director, Finance and Strategy shall head the Finance and Strategy Directorate and advise the Chief Executive Officer on financial matters and financial risks. He/She shall oversee the Institute’s short-term or long-term investments plans and their implementation. The role is also responsible for investing the Institute’s excess cash with banks with the best offer of interest rate and to negotiate financial terms of new contracts.
The role shall be responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating the implementation of the Institute’s Strategic Plan (SP) and ensuring the objectives are met while involving all stakeholders as shall be appropriate. The role shall generally be responsible for oversight supervision of all Finance, ICT, Facilities & Asset Management including Planning and Budgetary activities of the Institute.
