An exciting career opportunity is available for back office staff to service the Fixed Income Department of SIB.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, retaining and growing a client base by implementing financial planning solutions in line with the client’s needs.
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Day-to-day Fixed Income Operations
- Handling of Trade Capture, following up with Settlement, Invoicing Trades, following up on payments
- Responsible for a smooth and stable daily fixed income settlement operation working closely with the trading team
- Investigate issues and follow up for solutions working with the relevant teams including but not limited to clients, custodians, NSE, Central Bank of Kenya
- Participating in Market events and new Business initiatives
- As the job description cannot be exhaustive, the incumbent may be required to perform other duties that are consistent with the Fixed Income function and overall with the key tasks above
Formal Qualifications
- A degree related to any business-related course
- Basic IT Skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Proficient in English
- 1-2 years of work experience
Experience and Knowledge
- Teamwork / Self-starter / Accuracy / Swiftness / Flexibility / Attention to details
- Analytical/logical thinking to investigate issues and propose solutions/improvements
- Good communication skills
- Able to Listen to clients/internal partners and colleagues to understand and anticipate their needs
- Ability to work with other teams, countries and regions
