The job holder will work with high degree of independence using technical knowledge and experience to analyse data, prepare reports, provide advice and solutions to problems and identify opportunities for improvements.
The position reports to the Country Director with functional supervision from the Regional Communications Officer to ensure that all communications activities promote the Kenya Country Office’s Communications and Advocacy Strategy and WFP’s global narratives.
Develop engaging communications materials and identify innovative ways to actively involve Kenyans in WFP’s ‘changing lives to save lives’ agenda.

Education:
Five (5) years post graduate professional experience with Master’s degree in journalism, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications or other relevant field,
OR
Seven (7) years of post-graduate relevant experience with a university degree in Journalism, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications or other relevant field.
Language: International Professional: Fluency (level C) in English and Kiswahili languages.

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
