The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has formalized a strict penalty structure to ensure the success of its new animal welfare initiative.

Any individual who fails to register their dog or cat through the TAMM platform before the conclusion of the one-year grace period will be liable for a fine of Dh1,000. This measure is intended to enforce a high standard of accountability among the city's pet-owning population.
