Singapore Airlines rewarded its employees with a profit-sharing bonus equivalent to 7.94 months of salary after achieving a record net profit of S$2.67 billion (approximately $1.98 billion USD) for the fiscal year 2023–2024. This payout marks an increase from the previous year's bonus of 6.65 months' salary.

The airline's total earnings surged by 24%, reaching S$2.7 billion, with revenue climbing to an all-time high of S$19 billion, up 7% year-on-year. Passenger numbers grew by 17.3%, and along with its budget carrier, Scoot, Singapore Airlines transported 36.4 million passengers throughout the year. The airline attributed this success to sustained strong demand for air travel, particularly following the full reopening of borders in North Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan, after the pandemic.

In a broader trend, Singapore Airlines isn't the only major carrier rewarding its staff; Emirates also recently announced a bonus equivalent to 20 weeks' salary after recording its own historic profits.
