Dubai Municipality has launched Phase Two of the Tasreef Programme, awarding Dh2.5 billion in contracts to strengthen the city’s stormwater drainage network.

Covering 30 key areas across 430 million sq meters, the projects will protect three million residents by 2040. Initiatives include advanced tunnels, pumping stations, and integrated drainage systems along major roads, enhancing flood resilience, operational efficiency, and sustainable urban growth.

With global engineering partners, Dubai aims to deliver smart, sustainable infrastructure aligned with the 2040 Urban Master Plan. The programme reinforces safety, quality of life, and Dubai’s leadership in resilient urban planning and climate-ready development.
