Dubai has expanded its Ayal Al-Freej Ramadan initiative across more than 300 mosques, encouraging children aged 6–12 to attend daily Taraweeh prayers.

Participants receive a special “passport” and get stamps from the mosque imam for every prayer, making Ramadan fun and engaging. The programme includes Ramadan-themed ice-cream trucks, surprises, and cultural activities, aiming to strengthen children’s connection with mosques while promoting prayer, discipline, and family bonding.

Boys wear kandura and ghutra, girls wear national dress and hijab. The initiative also features a Muezzin al Freej competition, allowing selected children to raise the call to prayer throughout Ramadan.
