The UAE is set to enjoy a stunning celestial display as February’s full “Snow Moon” lights up the night sky on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Although the name comes from heavy winter snowfall in the Northern Hemisphere, the moon will still appear spectacular in the UAE’s clear desert skies.

Peak illumination is expected around 5:36 pm GST, with the moon visible for several nights.

Adding to the spectacle, Jupiter will shine brightly close to the moon, creating a striking pairing easily visible to the naked eye.

It’s a perfect moment for both casual viewers and astronomy lovers to look up.
