A Dubai civil court has ordered a private medical centre to pay Dh50,000 in compensation to a pilot after a false cancer diagnosis led to serious personal and professional consequences.

The pilot was wrongly told he had a chest tumor and went through months of unnecessary treatment.

He later learned from a specialist centre that he never had cancer.

The court confirmed a medical error but ruled that wider financial losses were not fully proven. Compensation was therefore limited, while remaining claims were dismissed under UAE law.
