Dubai traffic court has ruled that both a driver and a pedestrian share responsibility for a collision on an 80 km/h road.

The driver struck the pedestrian while the pedestrian crossed from an undesignated area. The court found that the driver was not fully attentive to road conditions and that the pedestrian also acted unsafely.

Fines were issued: Dh4,000 for the driver and Dh2,000 for the pedestrian. The ruling highlights the importance of careful driving and safe crossing practices to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all road users.
