Deira International School has become the first school in Dubai to install a live beehive on campus, giving more than 2,500 students and staff a hands-on lesson in biodiversity and sustainability.

The initiative, launched with Terra Expo City Dubai under the Hundred Hives programme, aims to teach children about the vital role bees play in food security and the environment.

Educators hope the project will inspire future beekeepers, strengthen environmental awareness, and encourage students to protect nature through real-world learning experiences.
