Dreamland Aqua Park in Umm Al Quwain was inaugurated 29 years ago, marking a major milestone in the UAE’s early tourism and leisure development. At the time, it was promoted as one of the world’s largest water parks and quickly became a popular family destination across the region.

The opening event in 1997 reflected the UAE’s growing ambition to diversify its economy beyond oil, introducing large-scale entertainment projects designed to attract residents and international visitors alike. The park featured a wide range of water rides, slides, and recreational facilities that set new standards for leisure experiences in the country.

Over the years, it has remained a nostalgic landmark in the UAE’s entertainment history, symbolizing the beginning of a major transformation in the country’s tourism sector.
