Uthabiti is the Nairobi-based African non-profit that exists to accelerate early childhood care, education and development (ECCED) in Africa. We create partnerships with governments and key resource organizations to catalyze systemic change in the early childhood care education and development ecosystem. Our collaborative approach consistently prioritizes women’s agency while placing children at the center. It enables the sector to meet both current and latent demands for early childhood care and education services in urban Africa, especially among low-income families. Formed in 2019, we are piloting our work in Kenya, with the intention of expanding to other African countries.
