Gusii Water and Sanitation Company Limited (GWASCO) is a Private Limited Company by shares incorporated on the 12th June, 2006 under the Companies Act Cap 486 of the Laws of Kenya. We are an agent of Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency(LVSWWDA), created as a result of the enactment of the Water Act 2002 which gave birth to the Water Sector Reforms in Kenya. Gusii Water and sewarage Company is a cluster system that operates eight water supplies within its jurisdiction with a total design capacity of 18000 cubic meters a day. The population within the service area is about 521,477 of which 250,483 people are served. For easy of management, the company has a number of supplies including Kisii, Nyamira, Keroka, Ogembo,Tabaka, Ikonge, Nyansiongo, Gesusu and Birongo. The company also manages a sewerage facility which serves the Kisii town area. The treatment plant initially designed with a capacity of 8000 meters cubic per day is being expanded to receive and treat more sewer in the ongoing KFW funded project.
