Description:
West Zone Group, a leading UAE-based diversified business group with a strong presence in supermarkets and hypermarkets, is currently hiring a Mid-Level Accountant to join its Finance team in Dubai. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment with strong exposure to accounting operations, reporting, and financial compliance.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, supporting month-end closing processes, and assisting with audits and VAT-related tasks. This position is ideal for professionals seeking long-term growth within a structured and performance-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting entries and maintain general ledger for assigned business units
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end closing activities including accruals, provisions, and reporting
• Assist in preparation of management reports and financial summaries
• Support VAT calculations and compliance-related documentation
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit processes
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification is an advantage)
• 2–4 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in UAE retail, FMCG, or multi-entity organizations
• Strong experience working with SAP systems including reporting and financial workflows
• Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
• Proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong knowledge of:
• General ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Month-end closing and financial reporting processes
• VAT preparation and audit coordination procedures
