About the Company

We are a well-established organization operating in the construction and related sectors in the UAE. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior General Accountant to join our finance team and support daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger entries
• Prepare and record journal entries, vouchers, and supporting documentation
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Process supplier invoices, subcontractor bills, and staff expenses
• Assist in bank reconciliations and monthly account reconciliations
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain proper filing and documentation in compliance with company policies
• Assist in VAT-related documentation and compliance (if applicable)
• Coordinate with project teams regarding cost tracking and expenses
• Provide support during audits and financial reviews
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Junior Accountant, preferably in construction or a related industry
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in construction accounting (project costing, material expenses, subcontractor billing) is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with accounting software (ERP systems preferred)
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is an added advantage
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills

• Basic knowledge of project costing and job cost reports
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Organized, reliable, and eager to learn
• Experience working in a fast-paced construction environment
