A well-established organization in the UAE construction sector is currently looking to hire experienced Document Controllers for both Civil and MEP disciplines. This is a full-time opportunity for professionals with strong hands-on experience in managing documentation for large-scale building projects in the UAE.

Document Controller – Civil


The selected candidate will be responsible for handling all civil-related project documentation and ensuring compliance with company and project standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement, and maintain document control procedures aligned with project and company requirements.
  • Manage all civil construction documents such as drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, MIRs, ITPs, RFIs, NCRs, and technical submittals.
  • Control the issuance, receipt, distribution, and tracking of documents, ensuring correct revisions are used on site.
  • Maintain organized hard-copy and electronic filing systems for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and subcontractors for document submissions and approvals.
  • Register, log, and track incoming and outgoing correspondence, drawings, and transmittals.
  • Monitor document status, follow up on pending approvals, and update registers regularly.
  • Support site engineers, QA/QC, and planning teams by providing timely access to approved documents.
  • Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and security of all project records.
  • Assist with final documentation, project close-out, and as-built submissions.

Document Controller – MEP


This role focuses on managing documentation related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works across building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain document control systems for MEP works in line with project and company standards.
  • Manage MEP documents including shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, method statements, ITPs, MIRs, RFIs, test reports, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
  • Control document issuance, tracking, distribution, and revision control.
  • Maintain accurate document registers and transmittal logs for all MEP submissions.
  • Coordinate with MEP engineers, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams for approvals and submissions.
  • Ensure approved drawings and documents are available to site teams prior to execution.
  • Track document review status and follow up on pending consultant or client approvals.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy filing systems suitable for audits.
  • Support QA/QC and commissioning teams during inspections, testing, and handover stages.
  • Assist in preparing handover documentation including O&M manuals, warranties, test certificates, and final as-built records.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security of all project documentation.
