A leading organization within the cable manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Technical Design Engineer (Cables) to join its engineering team in Dubai. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical expertise in cable design who can deliver cost-effective, compliant, and innovative solutions aligned with customer and international standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting competitive tendering activities, custom cable design, and new product development while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Job Purpose:

• Design standard and customized cable solutions in line with customer specifications and international standards
• Ensure technically sound and cost-efficient designs to support tenders and product innovation

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing standard and non-standard cables based on customer and project requirements
• Preparing detailed cable construction and technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Performing electrical and mechanical design calculations to meet compliance standards
• Creating, updating, and managing technical design data within SAP systems
• Supporting new product development initiatives and continuous improvement programs
• Coordinating with Sales, Planning, and Manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility
• Providing technical assistance and clarifications to customers and EPC contractors

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drawings
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred
• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in cable design, testing, or manufacturing
• Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills
