Key Responsibilities
Business Growth and Development
- Develop and execute business growth strategies to increase student enrollment,revenue, and market share.
- Identify and pursue new income-generating opportunities, including corporate training, short courses, consultancy, and outside catering.
- Conduct market intelligence to identify new segments, opportunities, and competitor activities
- Develop annual business development plans with clear targets and performance indicators.
Product Development and Innovation
- Lead the design and roll-out of new academic and professional programs aligned to industry trends and market needs.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to enhance and diversify existing training offerings.
- Support development of non-tuition income products (e.g., catering services, digital learning modules, and executive programs).
Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement.
- Build and nurture partnerships with tourism and hospitality stakeholders, including government agencies, associations, hotels, airlines, and development partners.
- Develop collaboration frameworks with local and international institutions for knowledge exchange, internships, and joint programs.
- Represent the institute at key industry events and forums to promote visibility and attract partnerships.
Marketing Collaboration and Brand Development
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager to design and implement effective student recruitment campaigns.
- Support brand positioning strategies and ensure consistency in communication and institutional representation.
- In the future, lead and manage the marketing function to ensure alignment between business growth and brand strategy
Financial and Operational Accountability
- Develop business proposals, partnership frameworks, and budgets to support business initiatives.
- Monitor performance metrics, evaluate ROI, and prepare regular reports on growth and partnership outcomes.
- Ensure alignment of all initiatives with the institute’s strategic plan and sustainability objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism Management, or a related field (Master’s degree an added advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in business development, marketing, or partnerships, preferably in the education, hospitality, or tourism sectors.
- Ability to identify opportunities, grow markets, and establish strategic relationships.
- Strong understanding of tourism and hospitality trends in Kenya and the broader East African region.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation and measurable results.
