Accountant / Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UAE accounting practices and the ability to independently manage daily accounting operations, reporting, and compliance. This role suits professionals who are confident working with financial data, regulations, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities – Accounting & Finance:

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledger records
• Record daily financial transactions including expenses, invoices, and payments
• Prepare bank and cash reconciliations on a regular basis
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budget forecasts
• Prepare, review, and file UAE VAT returns
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and investors as required
• Maintain investor contracts and support ongoing investor coordination

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
• Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding customer payments
• Reconcile customer and vendor accounts regularly
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and other external stakeholders

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho, CRM, or similar systems
• Advanced MS Excel and reporting skills
• Solid understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Preferred / Added Advantage:

• Experience supporting audit activities
• Knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax regulations
• Prior experience working with investment companies
