Overview
We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our team immediately in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have proven exposure to the contracting sector and be comfortable handling day-to-day accounting tasks, vendor and client invoicing, reconciliations, VAT reporting, and supporting month-end close activities. Strong ERP/QuickBooks skills and solid Excel ability are essential.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

  • Submit invoices and progress claims to clients via supplier portals and alternative submission channels, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
  • Regularly review and reconcile customer accounts to maintain accuracy and swiftly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Receive, validate and process supplier invoices in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and schedule vendor payments, including cheque issuance and electronic transfers.
  • Verify and process employee expense claims for reimbursement, ensuring adherence to policy.
  • Record daily financial transactions into the accounting system and keep well-organized records for auditability.
  • Manage petty cash operations efficiently with proper documentation of disbursements.
  • Perform account reconciliations as required to guarantee ledger accuracy and resolve variances.
  • Prepare VAT reports and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Support In-Country Value (ICV) related tasks when needed to contribute to local content reporting.

Expertise & Tools

  • Proficient with ERP systems and QuickBooks.
  • Strong Excel skills for reporting and reconciliations.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (or equivalent).
  • 3–4 years of hands-on finance experience in the contracting industry is required.
