Job Description
Mission Description
- Support the Mombasa Branch Manager, General Manager MCT and Shipping Agency Managers, Projects Manager carry out their operations securely in a controlled and risk manner.
- Development and Maintenance of Security management system, in line with global best practice standards and AGL global Security policies, plan, procedures, instructions and guidelines for the protection of employees and physical / property assets in all allocated sites - offices and warehouses, ports, projects and in transit on the road.
- Development, Implementation and Management of all multi-sites security systems with an objective to standardization of security plans procedures and documented records, sharing of best practice across sites.
- Continuous interaction with all business units to assess and advice on security risks, needs, incidents, community threats, political activity and enforcement of AGL security controls and expectations.
- Intelligence gathering related to breaches, crimes trends. Analyzing intelligence that might impact on the business.
- Build and manage ethical and compliant commitments and relationships as per the AGL Code of Conduct and compliance program with Law enforcement agencies, Local County authorities and intelligence officials and port, industry and client security teams.
- Incident case management through response, notification, communication, escalation, investigations, documentation, evidence protection and gathering, corrective actions and prosecution follow up to closure with corporate investigation team, both criminal and forensic
- Manage the team in the department, delivery of security service provider to all AGL sites, operations and on road escort and cargo locations and monitor their performance as per their contractual KPIs.
- Develop a process to continuously streamline electronic security to achieve best practice in all the Company's sites and operations of interest.
- Manage relationship with security vendors- operationally and ensure value for money as per LPO, contracts, delivery notes, certificates of service agreements and AGL expectations.
- Manage existing security labor resources at all assigned AGL locations to ensure that a balance is achieved between business need and real requirements pertaining to work force posting.
- Participate and advise Senior Management in the development of Emergency plan, business continuity plans and procedures, corrective and preventive actions, Internal and external audits and client/cargo incidents.
- Development of security training programs and campaigns for general staff, subcontractors, suppliers, visitors, clients and Security teams to improve security awareness and adherence to Security and business controls and SOPs across all AGL sites.
- Manage special events and assignments in all the Company functions and areas of operations.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in security, Criminology or Management related studies.
- Security & Investigation related professional certifications.
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role in logistics/supply chain/FMCG.
