Minimum Requirements

Applicants should:

  • Hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as Marine Science, Fisheries, Aquatic/Environmental Management, Natural Resources Management, Law (Environmental/Natural Resources/International), Gender Studies, Project Management, or related disciplines, depending on the position.

  • Have proven professional experience in:

    • Blue economy, marine and aquatic resources management, or biodiversity conservation.

    • Gender policy, gender mainstreaming and strategy development (for gender-focused roles).

    • Environmental/natural resources law, policy and institutional frameworks (for Legal and Institutional Officer).

    • Project coordination, administration, and reporting in regional or international programmes (for Coordinator and Project Administrative Assistant roles).

    • External audit of donor-funded or international projects (for KELC Final Project Audit).

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, report-writing and communication skills.

  • Have experience working with regional or international organizations, preferably within the African Union system or similar institutions.

  • Be proficient in English or French (knowledge of both and other AU languages is an added advantage).
