We Are Hiring! – Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Retrofit) | Abu Dhabi

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee major HVAC retrofit projects across Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bring strong engineering expertise, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering efficient and reliable technical solutions within challenging project environments.

🔧 Position Overview:
This role involves leading HVAC retrofit operations, ensuring full compliance with all engineering standards, and managing end-to-end project activities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and various stakeholders to ensure timely project execution while maintaining strict quality and safety parameters.

📍 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead HVAC retrofit projects from planning through commissioning, ensuring adherence to specifications, schedules, and cost guidelines.
• Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of chilled water systems, DX units, ducting networks, piping, and other mechanical components.
• Supervising and guiding a team of up to 80 personnel including subcontractors, supervisors, and technicians.
• Assess and review engineering drawings, BOQs, and product submissions to validate consistency with project plans.
• Collaborate with design teams to finalize as-built drawings, modifications, and technical improvements.
• Monitor and control project expenses, assist in creating project P&L reports, and safeguard profitability.
• Maintain strict project safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and suppliers to align project expectations and milestones.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot site challenges, and implement corrective measures promptly.
• Support procurement, workforce allocation, and project documentation activities.

⭐ Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• 7–8 years of hands-on experience in HVAC retrofit project management (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of chilled water systems, DX units, ducting, and mechanical installations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage subcontractor coordination.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical thinking skills.
• Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).
