Job Description
  • The Legal Assistant will work directly with a senior litigation attorney, supporting 15–20 major cases. This role involves managing case files, drafting and formatting legal documents, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring compliance with firm procedures. The candidate will collaborate with internal teams and participate in ongoing training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a senior litigation attorney on significant cases.
  • Manage case files using Filevine or similar case management software.
  • Monitor emails for documents and deadlines.
  • Calendar legal deadlines and set reminders.
  • Organize documents according to firm procedures and formats.
  • Draft and format legal documents (motions, discovery, etc.).
  • Use templates to generate accurate documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in personal injury law or similar legal areas.
  • Civil litigation experience preferred.
  • Us law firms preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal administrative tasks (file organization, calendaring).
  • Ability to interpret legal documents and anticipate next steps.
  • Comfortable working in structured environments with defined procedures.
  • Legal drafting and formatting experience (motions, discovery).
  • Familiarity with Gmail and Outlook for communication and scheduling.
  • Ability to work with legal templates and examples.
