Job Overview
Appropriate Design Limited, a partner of Brightermonday, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Additional controller duties as necessary.
Requirements
- 4 years proven experience as an accountant or relevant role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; a Diploma is also acceptable.
- Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA will be an advantage.
