- Serve as the central hub for planning, allocating, and monitoring all transport activities across multiple areas across Soko. The role ensures that vehicles, drivers, and third-party carriers are deployed efficiently, that schedules are adhered to, and that data and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
Responsibilities
- You will consolidate transport needs from different departments and regions into a master schedule.
- You will allocate fleet or third-party trucks based on demand, capacity, and cost-efficiency.
- You will balance workloads across trucks and collection areas to prevent under- or over-utilization.
- You must issue daily and weekly transport plans to stakeholders.
- You will liaise with teams to ensure goods are ready for loading as scheduled.
- You will manage changes, delays, and urgent transport requests efficiently.
- You will ensure all transport documentation is received, verified, and properly filed.
- You will confirm vehicle compliance with legal, safety, and LOG Soko standards before allocation.
- You will compile performance reports on truck utilization, on-time delivery, and transport costs.
- You will Analyse transport trends and propose efficiency improvements to LOG Soko.
- You will provide updates to internal teams and external service providers.
- You will maintain strong relationships with third-party transporters and regional staff.
