Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sewage Treatment Operator to join our team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining sewage treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, and optimizing the treatment process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain sewage treatment plant systems and equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and systems.
  • Collect and analyze water samples for quality control purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational data and prepare reports as required.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in the treatment process and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize treatment processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Water Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 - 4 years proven experience in operating and maintaining sewage treatment facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
