Job Description
  • The Production Specialist will play a central role in coordinating and delivering high-quality production services, ensuring that small and medium-scale producers have access to the tools, systems, and technical guidance they need to thrive.

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing production planning and scheduling to optimize efficiency
  • Supervising product formulation, pH testing, and quality control
  • Enforcing GMP, KEBS, and other regulatory standards
  • Guiding production teams on SOPs, machine operation, and safety
  • Mentoring SMEs and entrepreneurs on maximizing facility utilization
  • Leading equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
  • Building lasting client relationships to enhance repeat use of the facility
  • This role isn’t just about managing production it’s about mentorship, innovation, and impact. You’ll help local entrepreneurs scale their ideas into market-ready products, support sustainable business practices, and contribute to Kenya’s broader goal of strengthening its manufacturing ecosystem.

We’re looking for a hands-on professional with:

  • At least 3 years of experience in food processing, cosmetics production, or agro-processing
  • Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and quality management systems
  • Technical expertise in formulation, batch sizing, and testing
  • Leadership skills to guide teams and mentor entrepreneurs
  • Sales and marketing acumen to attract new facility users and foster partnerships
