Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain mechanical machinery and equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical faults promptly
  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new machines
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to optimize efficiency
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Prepare maintenance logs, production reports, and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO standards
  • Train operators on machine handling and safe operating procedures
  • Recommend process and equipment improvements to enhance performance
  • Key Requirements & Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 2–4 years’ hands-on experience in mechanical or production engineering
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design, production processes, and safety standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine maintenance
  • Experience using measurement tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Knowledge of quality inspection and process optimization techniques
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, ERP systems)
  • Salary: Gross Monthly Salary: KSH75,000 – 90,000(Approx 580USD)
