Purpose of Position
KPMG East Africa's International Development Advisory Services wish to secure the services of a Finance Expert in Sudan. The role of the Project and Program Finance Expert is to provide ongoing financial monitoring of development projects and programs, which KPMG is engaged to monitor, and share findings/observations and recommendations towards improving program implementation.
Key roles and responsibilities
The Project and Program Finance Expert will:
Conduct finance spot checks as and when requested
Collect financial information requested by KPMG.
Provide administrative support to the key experts as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement
Cultivate relationships with Sudan-based stakeholders, including projects and programs implementers,
Act as a point of contact for KPMG in Sudan.
Qualifications
Degree and other professional certification in Finance; Accounting; or other related discipline.
Academic/Professional qualifications and Experience
At least four years of relevant experience in project and program, finance, with a strong focus on grant management and demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
Basic financial accounting and financial management, with the ability to review and analyze accounting transactions;
Financial management systems, with the ability to review and assess internal controls and financial processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement;
Review of financial statements (including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets and cash reconciliation statements);
Fluent in both Arabic and English; and
The applicant must be residing in Sudan in any of the 18 states.
