As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in the plant & buildings. Your role will involve ensuring that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installations:
Install and assemble piping systems, fittings, and fixtures according to blueprints, specifications, and plumbing codes.
Set up and install water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and showers.
Ensure proper alignment, placement, and support of pipes, valves, and fixtures
Repairs & Maintenance:
Diagnose plumbing issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Fix leaks, clogs, and other plumbing problems promptly and efficiently.
Conduct routine maintenance to prevent future issues and prolong the lifespan of plumbing systems.
Inspect plumbing systems, components, and fixtures to identify and address potential problems
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries during masonry operations.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure the safety of self and others in the workshop.
Report any safety hazards or concerns to the Workshop Supervisor or Safety Officer.
Report any incidents, accidents or near misses to the authorities for appropriate action.
Adhere to all relevant plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Ensure that all installations and repairs meet quality standards and comply with building codes.
Use appropriate tools, equipment, and safety gear to perform plumbing tasks safely.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and dispose of waste materials properly
Documentation and Reporting:
Generate accurate records of work performed, including installation, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Report any issues, concerns, or deviations from plans or specifications to appropriate personnel
Key Outputs/Deliverables/KPIs
Installations:
Monitor the time taken to complete plumbing tasks or projects. Efficient completion times demonstrate productivity and effective time management skills.
Evaluate the quality of plumbing workmanship through inspections, audits, or customer feedback. High-quality work is essential for ensuring the longevity and reliability of plumbing systems.
Repairs & Maintenance:
Track the time it takes for the plumber to respond to service requests or emergencies. Aim for prompt response times to demonstrate reliability and responsiveness.
Measure the percentage of plumbing issues resolved on the first visit without the need for follow-up appointments.
Zero Leakages of steam in plant, compressed air and water
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards in all plumbing work. Track any violations or corrective actions needed to maintain compliance.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during plumbing tasks.
Number of accidents, incidents & near misses
Documentation and Reporting:
Number & quality of reports generated.
Frequency of reporting to the supervisor
