The Shift electrician technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to safety.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components of tobacco machinery and equipment.
Perform routine electrical inspections, electrical online tasks and preventive maintenance to ensure machines operates efficiently and safely.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and repair or replace faulty components as needed
Line manning of the shift during production to achieve zero downtime
Electrical Systems:
Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation to identify and resolve electrical problems.
Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
Upgrade electrical systems to improve performance, efficiency, and safety.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing electrical work, including lockout/tagout LOTOTO procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Conduct safety inspections and recommend improvements to mitigate electrical hazards.

Installation and Maintenance:
Reduced downtime through vigilant line manning
Percentage of electrical issues resolved without the need for follow-up visits or rework.
Reduction in repeat electrical failures over time.
Performing work at height tasks where need is needed
Electrical Systems:
Average duration of downtime per incident.
Average time taken to respond to electrical maintenance breakdowns.
Percentage of urgent electrical issues addressed within a specified timeframe.
Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) for electrical components or systems.
Improvement in equipment reliability over time.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of production activities and other issues arising and also prepare reports on the production line and performance and make recommendations for improvement
Safety Compliance:
Reporting number of electrical safety incidents or near misses.
Compliance with safety protocols and regulations during shift work.
