Key Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
Supervise technicians, electricians, forklift operators, and drivers.
Manage spare parts inventory and supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with occupational health, food safety (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC), and environmental regulations.
Oversee boilers, refrigeration, water treatment, and electrical systems.
Conduct risk assessments, enforce safe work procedures, and support compliance audits.
Monitor machine performance and recommend upgrades for efficiency and cost reduction.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, downtime reports, and cost analyses.
Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in the maintenance team.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance management within food processing, edible oils, or manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Occupational Trade Tests III/II/I for machine operators from a recognized institution.
First Aid Certificate Course (minimum 1 week) from a recognized institution.
Experience with oil extraction equipment or similar processing machinery is a plus.
