DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
Demonstrate and explain product features to encourage purchases.
Consistently meet or exceed set monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Upsell and cross-sell where appropriate to maximize sales opportunities.
Provide a welcoming and helpful environment for all walk-in customers.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regular clients to drive loyalty.
Maintain deep knowledge of all product lines, including specifications, uses, pricing, and promotions.
Ensure all items on display are clean, well-arranged, and adequately stocked.
Assist in setting up promotional displays and updating price tags as required.
Report low stock levels or fast-moving items to the supervisor for timely replenishment.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately during transactions.
Handle cash, M-PESA, and card payments securely and responsibly.
Issue receipts and record daily transactions in the sales log/book.
Reconcile daily sales and submit reports to management.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store and at the point of sale.
Ensure the workspace and product shelves are neat and in line with company standards.
Participate in regular cleaning schedules and restocking duties.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Minimum 2 years of proven sales experience, preferably in retail or consumer products
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to engage customers and close sales effectively
Goal-oriented and self-driven with a strong work ethic
Basic understanding of POS systems and handling cash
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
High level of professionalism and personal grooming
