Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the development and implementation of People & Culture policies and procedures that align with and support the organization’s strategic plan.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for managing and enhancing organizational culture, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategic goals.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate People & Culture strategies to ensure they support business needs and enhance employee experience.
- Compile and manage the People & Culture and Operations departmental budget.
- Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top
- talent, ensuring a smooth integration of new employees into the PS Kenya culture.
- Collaborate with senior management to assess organizational structure and staffing needs, making recommendations for restructuring or role adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the PS Kenya ’s financial objectives and employee satisfaction goals.
- Oversee the implementation of PS Kenya’s performance and learning processes, ensuring alignment with business goals and continuous professional development.
- Foster an inclusive and engaging organizational culture that promotes employee wellbeing, satisfaction, and high morale.
- Implement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, promoting a workplace that values and respects differences and encourages contributions from all employees
- Manage employee relations, acting as a mediator in conflict resolution, addressing
- grievances, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages open communication and collaboration. Ensure high standards of discipline among staff and that People & Culture policies, including disciplinary procedures, are applied uniformly and fairly.
- Provide strategic guidance to leadership on talent management, organizational effectiveness, and cultural transformation initiatives.
- Oversee the utilization of the HR Information System, ensuring that all relevant People & Culture processes are fully automated and data driven.
- Lead the implementation of the organization’s Health and Safety program to ensure a safe working environment.
- Oversee the fleet management, security and administrative operations in line with PS
- Kenya policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure workplace.
- Manage, develop, mentor, and coach the People & Culture and Operations team to ensure optimal performance and employee engagement.

Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Social Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in human resources management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Professional Qualifications and Membership:
- Certified Human Resource Profession (CHRP-K)
- Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management.
- Member of Institute of Human Resource Management.
Experience:
- At least 10 years’ experience in People & Culture/Human Resource Management, with five (5) years at senior management level with a good grasp of the NGO/ Social Enterprise Sector.
