Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Team Management

Lead production personnel by assigning tasks, offering feedback, and managing performance

Guide and coach team members to maintain productivity and morale

Production Oversight

Monitor end-to-end steel production processes, ensuring timelines, quality benchmarks, and safety standards are met

Resource Allocation

Efficiently manage manpower, equipment, and materials to minimize downtime and waste

Safety Enforcement

Enforce workplace safety protocols and conduct regular risk assessments to safeguard staff and equipment

Quality Control

Inspect outputs, troubleshoot product inconsistencies, and implement quality improvements

Problem Solving

Identify bottlenecks and equipment issues, implementing timely and effective solutions

Training & Development

Onboard new employees and coordinate ongoing skill development within the production team

Communication & Reporting

Prepare production reports and maintain accurate records

Liaise with senior management and operational teams on performance updates and strategic initiatives

Continuous Improvement

Analyse production data to identify areas for efficiency and cost optimization

Drive improvements in processes and team performance

Academic and Professional Qualifications

5–7 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing setting, steel production highly preferred

Diploma in Welding and Fabrication, or a related qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, or Metal Processing

Specific certifications in welding, fabrication, or quality control are advantageous

Strong understanding of steel production processes, equipment, and QA procedures

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams
