Job Description

Job Summary

 

To job holder is responsible for working with production machinery from cleaning, set-up to operations. The operator should work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanical machines. Operations are aimed at producing specific products in accordance with specifications, instructions, measurements, (SOPs) according to the production plans and in a manner that emphasizes safety and quality and minimizes wastes.

 

Responsibilities

 

Machine Operation & Setup Setting up and operating the tablet compression machine according to production batch records. Adjusting machine parameters such as speed, pressure, and weight to ensure quality production. 

 

Quality Control & Compliance Conducting in-process quality checks, including tablet weight, thickness, hardness, and appearance. Monitoring and recording compression parameters to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).production.

 

Documentation & Record-Keeping Maintaining accurate production logs, machine operation records, and batch documentation. Recording any deviations, breakdowns, or adjustments made during operation.

 

Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting Cleaning and lubricating the machine before and after each batch run

 

Performing routine checks and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and reporting major faults to the maintenance team.

 

Compliance with Safety & GMP Regulations Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines while handling pharmaceutical products.

 

Competencies, Qualifications & Experience

 

Problem solving approach and troubleshooting skills.

 

Continuous mental and visual attention/alertness during cleaning machine set ups and operations.

 

Team player, collaborative spirit and good communication skills.

 

Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

 

Computer Literacy i.e. Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access etc.

 

Minimum diploma in Any Engineering (Production Option) Operations.

 

Two (2) years' experience on the same role in a pharmaceutical industry. Computer literate.
