Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive GBV Action Plan aligned with World Bank ESF requirements.
Conduct ongoing GBV risk assessments and maintain an up-to-date risk register.
Ensure confidential GBV reporting mechanisms are accessible to all project stakeholders.
Collaborate with local service providers and NGOs to facilitate referral pathways for GBV survivors.
Monitor sub-contractor compliance with GBV-related contractual obligations and training.
Lead implementation of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP), ensuring meaningful consultation with vulnerable groups.
Identify and mitigate risks related to labor influx, including potential social tensions and health risks.
Lead grievance redress mechanisms (GRM), ensuring they are gender-sensitive and widely publicized.
Build capacity of contractors, project staff, and local partners on GBV prevention and response and social safeguards.
Establish and maintain systems for tracking social and GBV indicators, conducting regular monitoring and reporting.
Requirements
Relevant academic qualification (e.g., in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, Gender Studies).
Proven experience in GBV risk mitigation and response in development or humanitarian contexts.
Experience in social safeguards implementation (e.g., World Bank ESF, IFC Performance Standards).
Demonstrated expertise in community engagement and stakeholder management.
Strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for social indicators.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
