Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage BasiGo’s technology roadmap for lithium-ion battery technology based on industry and technology trends.
Lead battery specification and evaluation for new electric vehicle and ESS products.
Develop and lead BasiGo’s relationships with global battery suppliers to BasiGo.
Monitor, manage, and report on BasiGo’s battery portfolio across markets and applications including strategies on charging, SoH management, and after-sales support.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to ensure company objectives related to batteries are being met across the business.
Lead development of BasiGo’s second-life battery and recycling strategy for lithium-ion batteries.
Represent battery technology and products to management and investors.
Required Qualifications:
M.S. in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in lithium-ion battery technology and systems.
Expertise in lithium-ion battery technology for electric vehicles from chemistry through system design
Experience in lithium-ion battery and/or lithium-ion battery pack product development and manufacturing.
Understanding of Battery Management Systems, State-of-Charge, and State-of-Health estimation and life-cycle management.
Experience in data analysis, visualization, and insights pertaining to energy storage.
Experience in Engineering Program Management
Experience working with technology supply chains in East Asia with a preference for experience with lithium-ion battery suppliers.
Direct knowledge of safety and quality standards for lithium-ion batteries for EV’s and ESS.
Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to frame technical decisions.
